Buah Keloh (Malay) or Moringai (Indian)

Commonly referred to as drumsticks in Malaysia, the bean is a long, rigid and about 1.5 cm in diameter. The bean has thick flesh with soft seeds in the centre. When cooked the centres are eaten and the fibrous stems are discarded. To prepare, lightly scrape the skin, cut into 5cm lengths and use in soups and curries.
